Family Dynamic

On the weekends, everyone attends church together, time is spent with family members, and time to rest is available. When you join our family, we’re here with you as begin your journey, life your journey with us, and beyond.

Put aside any preconceived notions about what rehab or recovery looks like when you come to Pierced Ministries. This will not be what you expect!

Our residents live in very nice homes and function as a family.  The daily schedule begins around 6:30 each morning with family-style devotions and prayer time.  Residents take turns fixing meals so that they can enjoy time around a dining room table eating and sharing life together.  Weekdays consist of classes, counseling, mentoring time, journaling, quiet time, house cleaning, learning skills to return to work, participating in small groups,  and so much more.  On the weekends, everyone attends church together, time is spent with family members, and time to rest is available.

Every class is Biblically-based.  Each class is designed to help residents learn foundational Biblical truths.  Some of those include finding identity in Christ, learning to fully trust God, building strong Godly character, giving and receiving forgiveness, discipleship, developing strong and healthy relationships, Authentic Manhood, parenting, and other life-skills.  There are many opportunities to put these truths into place while living as a family.   This is not about staying sober.  It’s about allowing God to transform each person in such a way that old behaviors are a thing of the past because a new life has begun!

After-care is a necessary part of each person’s recovery.  Learning how to trust God with decisions about housing, employment, school, transportation, and family life are culminated with beginning to live back in society.  We include such things as building a resume, job interviewing skills, financial counseling, transitional counseling, other aspects that are required in building a new life.  We don’t leave you alone to figure it out.

Maybe you’ve never known what real family looks like.  Perhaps your life has no structure, accountability, or discipline to it.  That can change.  When you join our family, we’re here with you as you begin your journey, live your journey with us, and beyond.  Once you're a "Pierced" guy or girl, you’re always one of the family!
